How to Improve Your Personality?

how to improve your personality? There are few among us who don’t strive every day to improve their personality.

The ways we try to improve ourselves may range from minor external changes, such as a new suit or a new look, to more serious internal changes, as we try to improve our outlook on life or our ability to interact with other people.

The latter, obviously, are more difficult than, say, going to the hair salon.

Still, it’s not unrealistic to try to improve your character and personality. Below are just a few easy tips on how to improve your personality:

1. Find qualities in those around you.

Look at everyone around you and find something to like about them. What makes this person likeable or admirable? What attaches you to them? Let them know about it, and boost their self-esteem. Meanwhile, try to promote those qualities in yourself as well.

2. There’s a lot to like about you, too.

Don’t forget that you’re interesting and admirable yourself. There’s nothing wrong with patting yourself on the back occasionally, since it can help us approach other people. Make it a foregone conclusion that other people should enjoy interacting with you. (how to do this?)

3. We all have our flaws.

That includes you! No one is perfect, and simply admitting that fact can be a huge step. If we are too hard on ourselves, or complete perfectionists, we can often do more harm than good.

4. Mingle with positive thinkers.

The last thing you need when trying to improve yourself are people who think improvement is impossible, who look at the entire world, at themselves, and at you, with nothing but pessimism. Choose your company wisely; their own outlook will affect your attitude towards life. Find friends who will build you up, not burden you with doubts.

5. People are interesting.

It’s a simple fact that bears repeating: you can find something interesting about almost anyone, even those who seem ordinary at first glance. Each person is a universe. Show genuine curiosity about the people you meet!

6. Embrace the new.

Don’t let yourself stagnate. Always make a point of exploring new things, and you’ll discover unexpected talents and qualities in yourself. Take up a new hobby, or open an unfamiliar book. Take a dance class. The possibilities are endless.

7. Set out for uncharted territory.

Go explore a new part of the world. Sometimes a change of scenery can offer a fresh perspective on ourselves, and on life. Go somewhere you’ve never been, or redecorate your home.

These are just a few techniques for improving your personality. Self-improvement is a constant process; you’ll never wake up one morning and realize that you’re perfect. Growth is an ongoing part of life.

Hey there Sikchha…

Well, how to improve your personality? You got this website. Spend sometime around and you're guaranteed to find helpful information.

http://successelixir.net

For English improvement, I'm not the right guy for that, but see this comment I wrote to another reader:

There’re many options. I think it’s case-by-case. If you have time & money, studying English @ Australia, UK or New Zealand for 6 months to a year would be enough mostly.

But if you’re a student or on 9-5 daily job, you have to seek other options. You can attend local English class, find a native-English teacher to teach ya one-to-one or use online courses at inistitutes & universities. Is that enough?

Do ya know anyone who is very good at English? ask him how he did it & just do as he did. Simple? yes, but it takes time.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for passing by.

No doubt these tips are good to improve your personality but one basic tip is missing and that is your "dress". How you dress up, what colours your wear, combinition between your suite and neck ties, creasless shirt and so on. Your personality's first impression is your dress and a sweet smile on your face. Also the way you walk – the more grecefully you walk, the more impressing you will look. Your hair nicly combed, your shoes shinning and a nice perfume on your dress. Keep adding and you can find more and more ways to improve your personality.

Hi Bisma, thanks for posting your question.
Well, I'm afraid that I can't tell you whether to take an MBA or not, or any similar advice. Why? Because I don't know you, your mindset, your background… etc. But, you can do some personality tests that can give you a detailed report on your best career options.

Hi, in fact I am very anxious about my future because my personnality is not encouraging at all. This is my last year in studying and i am supposed to find some work next year. when I meet people or even with my family members i most of the time keep silent and rarly talk only when somebody ask me about something. this is how I used to behave since I was a child. I feel very shy to speak in front of people and I feel very confused to the extent that I forget what i want to say. I would really very grateful if you can give me any advice because i see that my problem is very serious for me. Thank you in advance .

Hello All,

Ya it is very important for people who work to improve personality. But Fatema, in some case we are not comfortable to speak up in front of family but we do with friends.

Always make your mind and assume situation that what going to happen to you. For example, tomorrow is this programme and this and that people will come…make your mind. how will you responese for some special question…or how will you going to start to talk about some issues…for example with your age girl school, uni, beauty etc etc….elder people like to talk about their past so try to pull that but that would be one to one……and so on….

bye hope u will be improved by this tips….

To Improve your personality
Be a better listener.
Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis was considered one of the most charming women in the world because she cultivated the skill of being an exceptional listener. She was known for the way she would look a person in the eyes, hang on their every word, and make them feel important. There is nothing more appealing than having someone listen to you intently making you feel like you're the only person in the world.

Read more and expand your interests.
The more you read and cultivate new interests, the more interesting you are to others. When you meet new people it gives you the opportunity to share what you know and to exchange your views with them.

Be a good conversationalist.
This relates to how much you read and know. Once you have much to contribute, learn how to talk about it with others. No one can read about or know everything, so it's refreshing to learn from others those things we don't have the time to about read ourselves. If you happen to be shy, join a group like Toastmasters that encourages you to talk about what you know.

Have an Opinion.
There is nothing more tiresome than trying to talk to someone who has no opinion on anything. A conversation has nowhere to go if you have nothing to expound on. If, however, you have an uncommon point of view or differing opinion, you are more interesting and stimulating to be in the company of (unless you're a know-it-all, of course). A unique outlook expands everyone's perspective.

Meet New People.
Make the effort to meet new people especially those unlike you. It not only exposes you to different cultures and alternative ways of doing things, it broadens your horizons.

Be yourself.
The next most tiresome thing after having no opinions is trying to be something you're not. Molding yourself in order to fit in, or be accepted, usually backfires. Since each of us is unique, expressing that uniqueness is what makes us interesting. Attempting to be a carbon copy of someone else not only falls flat, but reveals a lack of authenticity.

Have a positive outlook and attitude.
Who wants to be around people who are negative, complain a lot, or have nothing good to say? In fact, most of us run when we see them coming. Instead, be the kind of upbeat person who lights up a room with your energy when you enter it. Do it by looking for the best in people and things. Smile warmly, spread good cheer, and enliven others with your presence.

Be fun and see the humorous side of life.
Everyone enjoys the company of someone who makes them laugh or smile. Look for the humorous or quirky side in a situation – there always is one. When you are fun and lighthearted people are naturally attracted to you.

Be supportive of others.
Being supportive is probably the most endearing quality you can integrate into your personality. Just as you yourself welcome it, be the support for others when they need it. We all love a cheerleader in our corner; someone who is encouraging, believes in us and helps pick us up when we're down.

Have Integrity and treat people with respect.
Being honest and true to your word will bring you the admiration, respect and gratitude of others. Nothing improves a person's personality more than integrity and respect – respect for others, as well as respect for yourself.
