How to Boost Your Self-esteem 2-3

One of the biggest roadblocks to great self-esteem is fear.

This isn’t the type of phobia that can be traced back to something real like spiders or heights. Instead, it’s based on something that can’t be touched—the possibility of failure. People with good self-concepts might laugh at that idea because it’s impossible for them to entertain the thought of letting fear stand in the way of their successes.

That’s where I want you to be at the end of my course. There are daredevils that laugh at danger; I want you to be a confident person that laughs at fear! You’ll be surprised by how easy it’ll be for you to achieve your goals once you refuse to let the fear of failure affect your self-esteem.

Here are some ways that you can squash the fear of failure that’s holding your great self-esteem hostage:

Be realistic with worst-case scenarios

Lots of people with low self-esteem allow themselves to think the worst will happen- and more. It’s important to objectively assess your risks so that you’ll have a clear picture of what you’re capable of.

Take the dive into something new

Change is something that people fear greatly. But change doesn’t always have to be bad. In fact, change can refine your coping abilities and strengthen your emotional makeup- two things that are absolutely necessary to build healthy self-esteem.

Depend on determination

You’ve probably heard of great achievements accomplished by “sheer determination.” We’re going to do that, too. And it will be a major accomplishment because changing life patterns and ways of thinking is no small achievement and all depends on your will.

Let go of the past

Those who have low self-esteem tend to hold onto the past. They can believe that their past determines their future. But there’s no more dangerous threat to someone’s self-esteem than this very belief. This keeps self-esteem dependent on past events that can’t be changed. With my help, you’ll be able to stop living in the past and look forward to a future where your self-esteem is a product of your abilities and accomplishments.

Turn failure into a learning experience

Modifying your attitude towards failure is a major part of getting over it. I’ll teach you how to look at failure not as the end of an activity but as the beginning of your path to a healthy self-concept.

All of these tips and what I’ll teach you later will help you view the world differently. You’ll begin to look at life’s challenges in a new light if you overcome your fear of failure. You’ll even learn to welcome them because they’ll help you prove your abilities to yourself. And what could be better than that when you’re trying to build confidence?
