Changing Your Life to Improve Your Health
In his blog post “10 virtually instant ways to improve your life”, Adrian Savage talks about how we create our own reality. We have a habit of thinking negatively in times of stress and this can affect your health in so many ways.
He gives a list of 10 tips to help you improve your life.
- Don’t jump to conclusions and just assume that you know what others are talking about. Human beings are notorious for thinking the wrong things.
- Don’t make a big drama out of something that goes wrong for you. All it does is cause anxiety.
- Don’t make up silly rules for yourself. All you do is restrict yourself and clutter your mind with childish ideas.
- Don’t stereotype people. If you label people then you will have pre-set ideas about them.
- Don’t be a perfectionist. You don’t have to be perfect at everything you do. You will fail sometimes.
- Don’t get upset if you have a couple of setbacks. If something goes wrong 2 or 3 times, it doesn’t mean that it will be an ongoing situation.
- Don’t take things personally. Don’t think that people are talking about you. Some people probably don’t even know you!
- Don’t trust your emotions. Just because you feel as though things aren’t going right for you, doesn’t necessarily mean that it is true.
- Don’t let things get you down. You can find optimism in any situation.
- Don’t live in the past. You cannot change the past so live for the future.
